I invite you to enjoy the beautiful spring weather by participating in the upcoming FNVW Walkathon happening on May 21st at Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. This is an important fundraising event for FNVW and a fabulous chance to be together.

Everyone is invited to walk, regardless of whether or not you gather pledges. The Walkathon Planning Commitee's done a phenominal job organizing this event. Come join us!

Job Opening! FNVW Volunteer Engagement Specialist

FNVW is hiring a new Part-Time Volunteer Engagement Specialist! We're looking for applicants with a belief in nonviolent social change and a desire to bring people together to build a safe and healthy community for all.

The Volunteer Engagement Specialist is responsible for recruiting, training and supporting new FNVW volunteers and student interns. They also play a key role in planning, implementing, organizing and coordinating the volunteer and community engagement opportunities that drive FNVW's mission forward. Learn more at fnvw.org/jobs. People Camp is a week-long, intergenerational  experience of cooperation, exploration and community living. People Camp provides a unique opportunity to rest and refresh your mind, body and spirit through a variety of workshops, group activities and recreation options in a camp setting.

What: In the context of a supportive community, you'll discover your power to build safer communities and transform conflict and frustration in your life.

The three day workshop schedule is:

May 20, Friday 5-9pm CST, with a 30 min. break
May 21, Saturday 11-6pm CST, with a 1 hour break
May 22, Sunday 9-4pm CST, with a 1 hour break

Where: The entire workshop will take place via Zoom. We are happy to provide technological assistance if you have any questions about using Zoom.

Who: All are welcome to attend. No prior experience necessary. 

Cost: The suggested fee to participate in this workshop is $25 - $100. We understand that not everyone may be able to afford this, and no one is turned away due to lack of funds.
