The Volunteer Engagement Specialist is responsible for recruiting, training and supporting new FNVW volunteers and student interns. We will walk around beautiful Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. Food, beverages, and prizes will be provided during the event. We need to raise $4,000 through pledges gathered by walkathon participants to keep moving FNVW's mission forward in 2022. We can't do it without you! As part of FNVW's renewed commitment to advocacy and outreach we are getting out in the community, building our collective power to make nonviolent social change. In recent weeks: - FNVW members attended a press conference and rally at the MN State Capitol to demand a Ban on No-Knock Warrants.
- FNVW's Executive Director, Leah Robshaw Robinson, moderated a forum on Climate Change and Democracy hosted by the MN Alliance of Peacemakers (MAP).
- FNVW walked alongside labor and immigrant rights organizations at the May Day March on Lake Street.
