We champion nonviolence as the foundation for effective programs and actions to promote the dignity of every human being.

Note from Executive Director
We Are Not Alone

it is easy to feel powerless in the midst of all that is broken in our world right now. If we look at what we alone can do in the face of the crises at hand, things can feel hopeless. But history teaches us that change is possible when we cultivate connections with one another and work together towards a shared vision. We must remember that are not alone in this work!

At this moment, FNVW is one of thousands of organizations around the world celebrating International Day of Peace (Sept 21) and International Day of Nonviolence (Oct 2)!

The 12 day period bookended by these holidays is marked by actions, events and celebrations that remind us that there are many people and organizations all around the world who are also passionately and creatively using active nonviolence to build safe and healthy communities where we can all thrive.

Peruse the Campaign Nonviolence schedule or check out a 12 Days Free From Violence event to get inspired. Or better yet - attend the FNVW's Strategic Planning Day on Oct 1st. We will participate in a Campaign Nonviolence march during our time together!

No matter how you choose to celebrate, I encourage you to take time to remember how many people there are on this Earth who care deeply about peace and justice. We are more powerful than we realize.

With Revolutionary Love,
Leah
