We champion nonviolence as the foundation for effective programs and actions to promote the dignity of every human being.

Note from Executive Director

With Valentine's Day around the corner, commercialized romantic love is in the air. Last week’s killing of Amir Locke by a Minneapolis police officer executing a no-knock warrant demands we act out of different type of love: a fierce, courageous love that fights for the dignity of every human being. This type of love is a powerful force for personal and systemic change.

FNVW’s Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) workshops and mini-sessions teach skills for transforming conflict and violence. I encourage you to sign up for one of the many AVP offerings taking place in the next few weeks (details in E-Letter below).

I also invite you to attend the next Bridging the Divides: Policing and Public Safety That Works for Everyone team meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22nd. Email leah@fnvw.org for a Zoom link and more details.

With Revolutionary Love,
Leah
