Climate Change and Threats to Democracy Forum

This is a critical time for the future of the US and our planet. Are we in denial about threats to our democracy? Can we tackle climate change if we are not a democracy? What can we do?

The Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers (MAP) invites you to join Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer (University of St. Thomas) & Sam Grant (Rainbow Research) as they explore these questions and more. Leah Robshaw Robinson (Executive Director of FNVW) will moderate the conversation.

He has focused his life and work on showing linkages between faith and critical political, economic and social issues.

Tell Your Elected Officials to Ban No-Knock Warrants

No-knock warrants are when police enter a home during the night with no warning for the people inside. They can lead to injuries, property damage, and even death. All over the country, no knock warrants are being limited, banned, or put out of use because they are so dangerous and ineffective.

Right now at our Minnesota State Capitol, legislators are debating whether or not to ban no-knock warrants. We know that without pressure from the community, they will not follow-through. Will you join FNVW in demanding action from our elected officials?

Please contact your State Senators and Representatives telling them to support the ban on no-knock warrants. Locate your elected officials here: https://www.gis.lcc.mn.gov/iMaps/districts/
